Illamasqua - The Fragrance

The night-time make-up, the unveiling of the alter ego, the incandescent rebel, the celebrator of individuality ... this is what we swear by at Illamasqua. Founder Julian Kynaston saw the rule book of how to launch a make-up company and tore it up.

We started with one mega launch at Selfridges Oxford Street in October 2008 and here we are two and a half years later with a brand that has been embraced by artists, consumers, bloggers, press and retailers alike that we are now a global brand with a presence in Australia, USA and the UAE.

Every day, every hour, every minute we drive ourselves to new ideas, concepts and challenges and every year can be looked back upon as The Year of the Liquid Metal [2009] the Year of The Art Of Darkness [2010] and in 2011 we are pushing the boundaries even further to bring you...

The Year Of The Illamasqua Fragrance

Two years in development has brought us the first Illamasqua fragrance!

When Joe Corre joined Illamasqua as Joint MD he brought with him a wealth of knowledge about launching a fragrance - his luxury lingerie company Agent Provocateur had launched one of the biggest fragrances of recent times and we are thrilled to announce that the team that brought you the Agent Provocateur signature scent have worked with us on our first bespoke fragrance.

And - as with anything Illamasqua - all is not quite how it seems ...

With our Creative Director Alex Box also heavily involved, sprinkling her artistic magic upon the designs
The fragrance is due to launch towards the end of the year and is made up of potent and powerful ingredients that are magical, timeless and daringly provocative...
The forbidden flowers that make up the scent only bloom at night ...

The bottle is a revolutionary design - beautiful, artistic and very Illamasqua ...

This is no ordinary fragrance launch, but a way to celebrate your alter ego through another sensory experience ...

More details to come over the next few months.

  1. I hope that's not the actual design of the bottle, it's just not attractive nor does it embody the name of the fragrance.
