Art of Darkness Blogger Event

Last weekend numerous lucky bloggers were given the chance to have a sneak preview of Illamasqua’s new flagship store on Beak Street and what a treat we had in store for them! All were invited to preview the new Autumn/ Winter 2010 collection Art of Darkness as well as to meet their fellow bloggers. It was great to see bloggers like Pixiwoo, Mouldy Fruit’s Zara and the gloss goss queen Talita. We were thrilled to see them all and couldn’t wait to indulge them with our banquet of potions and concoctions (and a little cheeky chocolate!)

Our Creative Director Alex Box took time out of her busy schedule to introduce the new collection to our bloggers and talk them through the new promotional film; specially made for Illamasqua’s Art of Darkness collection and available online very soon! Next up we had David Horne (our New Product Development Director) who talked excitedly about the new School of Makeup Art, which opens in October. He also talked about the new collection, repeatedly telling everyone to stick as many fingers in as many pies as possible; we hope he was talking about testing the new pieces!

To exude a mythical atmosphere, smoking punch was provided by Paisley from Purl-London, a Marylebone bar that specialises in theatrical cocktails. Alex Box was on duty, transforming various models into beautiful beings and the new pieces were spilling out of jugs, goblets with the feel of archaic alchemy. It was an amazing event and certainly how we would like to spend every weekend. See some more amazing pictures and reviews by a few of the attendees, for example Lucysstash, Liparazzi and Bubblegarm.

Thanks to all that came and made it such a great day, we can’t wait to see you all again very soon. The new store is now open at 20 Beak Street, London. If you can't make it to our store check out the new Art of Darkness collection here.

  4. The collection is gorgeous and it was so lovely to see it first hand. It obviously completely blinded me to the presence of chocolate on the premisis!
